BeReal is a social app that prompts users once a day, at a random time, to post an unfiltered photo from both cameras simultaneously. It targets younger users craving authentic, low-pressure sharing.

The design is deliberately raw and minimal: the dual front-and-back camera capture, a simple daily feed, and no likes or vanity metrics. The stripped-back, anti-Instagram aesthetic and its signature simultaneous-photo format make it a distinctive social reference.
